THE BODY OF CHRIST
Scripture Reading - 1 Corinthians 12:18-26
18 But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. NIV
These verses remind us that the Lord put us here for a reason, and our life is God ordained. Christians are working together in this world as a unified team. It is never right to think of any person as lesser in value or service. You must always remember that your position, your personality, your smile are critical for a successful message of God’s Love by the influence of the Body of Christ. Let us constantly have the same care one for another as Christians and messengers of God’s mercy. Remember you are the face of Jesus in the earth today. You are beautiful and handsome in the sight of our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. There are so many members in the Body of Christ who need the good fruit of God that you have to offer. So let God’s Love flow through you to other members in your Christian family because we all need one another to keep the Body of Jesus strong in the earth today. If God’s own children won’t touch each other with love and compassion then who will? So release God’s Love today to your neighboring fellow Believers who could use your touch of God's Love. God's Love can reach the world but it should always be used in the Body of Christ. Amen!
